Our Story
What began in 2010 with a vision to create a space where Jewish women in business could thrive has grown into a national organization serving over 8000 women across the world.
In 2010, JWE founder Chaya Fishman saw what so many Orthodox Jewish women in business were experiencing: the challenge of feeling like outsiders in both secular and Jewish professional spaces. She founded The Jewish Woman Entrepreneur to create something that didn’t yet exist—a place where Jewish women could bring their whole selves to their professional growth.
Today, the JWE has grown into a vibrant, active community where women’s business and career ambitions are understood, supported, and celebrated. We’re continuously evolving and leading important conversations about what it means to thrive as a Jewish woman entrepreneur, executive, and leader in today’s world. Most importantly, we’re giving every Jewish woman in business the network, resources, and community she needs to succeed on her own terms.
