TheJWE.com accepts freelance submissions. If you are interested in writing for TheJWE, please send us a query about the type of article you’re interested in and your credentials. Writing for us is a great way to share your knowledge and experience with other people and to increase your market exposure at the same time.
Articles should convey business and Jewish wisdom in a positive manner, preferably with interesting and dramatic first-person accounts that are applicable to our members’ needs.
Bear in mind that TheJWE.com members consist primarily of the four groups noted below:
- Jewish women who are either dreaming of starting or have recently launched a new business venture. These individuals don't necessarily have a lot of money, so they're looking for shoestring startup ideas and low-cost ways to start and run their businesses. They need how-to advice, articles that keep them on top of business trends and motivational articles to get (and stay) inspired.
- Jewish women who are small-business owners and have been in business for several years. These members are seeking innovative strategies to grow their businesses. They are also interested in current issues that affect their companies along with new business ideas and opportunities.
- Jewish women that have home-based businesses. These members need information unique to the home-based entrepreneur. Like the entrepreneurs described above, they're seeking information that will help them run their businesses better. They’re also interested in time management, work-life balance, and improving organizational skills.
- Jewish professional women. These members are educated and successful professionals who may or may not have their own businesses. They seek advice on topics such as getting and retaining new clients, networking, balancing hectic lives with family, and defining their roles within male-dominated fields.
Before submitting an article, be sure to read a variety of the articles on our site so you can tailor your submission to meet our content needs. We reject many queries because the subject matter is redundant. Suggested length is 800-1200 words. Submitted articles must be 100% your own work and free of plagiarism.
What we will include with your article: A short biography that details your experience and expertise, along with links to a relevant website and any contact information that you would like to share (such as your email address, and social media accounts like Twitter).
Things we do not like: Articles that are too promotional. If you have valuable advice or experience, that wisdom will promote you. However, articles that make too many references to things you sell or offer will be rejected. We want to provide our members with meaningful content. As a courtesy for writing for us, we will include a short biography and relevant contact information at the bottom of your article (see above). But please don’t make your article into a biography!
